Project Raaj Drishti · Emperor's Vision. Teacher's Legacy. Nation's Future.

Every child remembers a teacher.
Few remember to invest in one.

A nationwide movement to develop India's teachers, principals and education leaders — through scholarships, educational leadership and capability building at nationally recognised institutions.

01 — The model in thirty seconds

Your support becomes capability. Capability becomes outcomes.

Funding → 208 educator-leaders and fellows developed → school improvement projects → better teaching, learning and governance → better student outcomes.

01

Funding

Crowdfunding, CSR and philanthropy.

02

Educator Fellows

Teachers, principals and education leaders selected and developed.

03

Capability development

Improvement science, leadership, measurement, action research.

04

Institutional projects

Fellows lead real improvement work inside their own institutions.

05

Improved teaching and governance

Practice changes where students actually encounter it.

The full theory of change

02 — Why Raaj Drishti

India celebrates toppers, entrepreneurs, scientists and leaders. Every one of them began with a teacher. Yet teacher development remains one of the least supported forms of philanthropy.

Committed leadership and capable faculty already exist in Indian institutions. What is missing is everyday practice: management systems, improvement methods and evidence-based decisions built into how an institution runs, rather than bolted on when someone asks for a report.
  • 01

    Faculty development as an event

Training arrives as a workshop with a date, not as a capability with a half-life. What is learned on Friday rarely survives to the following term.

  • 02

    Fragmented outcome-based education

Outcome-based education is documented at the level required for accreditation and practised unevenly at the level of the classroom.

  • 03

    Weak use of data

Institutions collect a great deal and use very little of it. Decisions are defended with data afterwards rather than reached with it.

  • 04

    Administrative inefficiency

Academic staff spend hours on processes nobody designed, which produce records nobody reads.

  • 05

    Compliance over improvement

Effort concentrates on satisfying an external requirement rather than on changing what the requirement was meant to protect.

  • 06

    Limited benchmarking

Institutions have little visibility of comparable practice, so good work stays local and avoidable mistakes are repeated elsewhere.

People support teachers emotionally. We are building the way to support them structurally.

The problem in full

03 — The programme

Five layers, built as an ecosystem rather than a training course.

Each layer exists because the one above it fails without it. Methods without leadership do not survive a change of principal; leadership without students does not reach a classroom.
The programme in detail
  • 01

    Teacher Professional Capability

    Serving teachers and faculty

The methodological foundation. Teachers learn to diagnose a problem in their own institution, design a change, measure whether it worked, and write up what they found.

    Student Improvement Culture

    Classes VI to XII

Improvement is not something done to a school by adults. Students run their own 5S and Kaizen projects, and present them upward through a showcase ladder.

    MA Education Fellowship

    100 fellows in Phase 1

Financial support attached to academic obligation. A fellowship is not a grant; it carries a capstone, a dataset analysis and a translation contribution back to the commons.

    Leadership Accelerator

108 educator leaders in Phase 1

The people who decide whether an improvement survives: teachers, principals, teacher educators, curriculum designers and policy professionals, developed together rather than in separate silos.

    • Principals
    • Teacher educators
    • Curriculum designers
    • Policy professionals
  • 05

    Global Education Fellows

    12–18 fellows

Advanced study abroad, carried back. Each Global Fellow accepts a two- to three-year return-of-service obligation, so the investment returns to Indian institutions.

    • Advanced study placements
    • 2–3 year return-of-service obligation
    • International research collaboration
    • Knowledge transfer on return

04 — Phase 1

Phase 1 begins in Delhi. The vision is national.

Phase 1 is deliberately small and deliberately measured. What it proves is what the national programme scales.

These are targets the Council has committed to publicly, not results. Progress against each is published on the Impact Dashboard.

05 — What a contribution buys

Every tier is attached to something a teacher or a student actually receives.

Recurring monthly giving is the engine of this campaign. A standing ₹1,000 a month funds more learning hours than an occasional larger gift, and lets the programme plan.

Registration under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act enables eligible donors to claim tax benefits on qualifying donations, subject to applicable law. IPEC issues receipts and does not provide tax advice.

06 — Impact dashboard

We publish our progress — including our shortfalls.

The dashboard launches with real numbers, and right now the real number is zero. A metric behind target is shown in amber with a one-line explanation rather than quietly omitted.

07 — For CSR leaders and foundations

Don't fund a programme. Help India build the next generation of educational improvement leaders.

Meet the first cohort.

Selections underway

The first cohort is being selected. Profiles, projects and stories will be published here as fellows are inducted.

The Fellowship Pledge is signed publicly at induction. IPEC treats that ceremony as a content event in its own right — the moment the cohort commits, on the record, to what it will do.

09 — The national vision

Raaj Drishti is designed as the execution bridge from NEP 2020 to NEP 2030 — building the leadership, process excellence and evidence culture Indian institutions need on the road to Viksit Bharat 2047.
