To establish a national framework for Healthcare Excellence that supports quality improvement, healthcare education, patient safety, preventive health and institutional excellence across healthcare organisations.

Why it exists

The Committee does not attempt to duplicate the work of medical councils or public health institutions. It focuses on healthcare excellence through education, quality, patient safety, process excellence, preventive health and systems improvement — a positioning that aligns with IPEC's strengths in process excellence, knowledge management and capability building.

To develop multidisciplinary healthcare curricula that prepare healthcare professionals, educators, administrators and students to deliver safe, ethical, evidence-based, patient-centred and continuously improving healthcare services.

Mission

To design competency-based curricula integrating healthcare quality, patient safety, Lean Healthcare, Six Sigma, healthcare management, preventive medicine, digital health, ethics, communication and interdisciplinary teamwork.

To support healthcare and healthcare education institutions in embedding quality improvement, patient safety practice and evidence-based decision making into everyday clinical and administrative operations.
